Stigg and Airwallex partner to unify usage metering, entitlement enforcement, and global payment collection out of the box
Stigg now connects to Airwallex out of the box: real-time metering and entitlements in Stigg, global payment collection and invoicing in Airwallex. No custom integration code.
AI products evolve at a breakneck pace. New models land, features ship weekly, and pricing models shift just as fast: seat-based subscriptions give way to usage credits, API call quotas transform into AI agent allocations, and hybrid enterprise contracts become the norm.
To support this flexibility, AI vendors need a monetization stack that spans the entire customer journey: from instant self-serve credit purchases to complex, high-touch enterprise contracts across global regions and currencies.
Until now, connecting real-time usage metering and entitlement gating to a global payment and invoicing provider like Airwallex required engineering teams to build, test, and maintain custom, "duct-taped" integrations. Every new pricing tier or mid-cycle change meant more custom code and potential revenue leakage.
Stigg and Airwallex have partnered to take that engineering overhead completely off the table.
Unifying Pricing Logic and Global Payments
Airwallex - a leading global payments and financial platform - now connects directly to Stigg out of the box. Together, they provide an end-to-end monetization solution designed specifically for native AI companies and scaling SaaS vendors.
Stigg acts as the pricing, entitlement, and governance engine, managing real-time feature access, credit balances, and usage metering. Airwallex handles the financial infrastructure, managing payment collection, invoicing, multi-currency processing, and financial reporting.
By decoupling real-time product access logic from payment execution while keeping them seamlessly synced, AI companies gain complete agility without sacrificing financial accuracy.
Key Capabilities: Built for Both PLG and Enterprise
Self-Serve & Usage Credits (PLG): Customers purchase plans or credit top-ups in the Stigg checkout widget using payment methods stored in Airwallex. Stigg immediately provisions entitlements and manages real-time credit drawdowns.
Hybrid Enterprise Contracts: Custom negotiated terms, base fees, and usage tiers map directly into Stigg entitlements. Invoices automatically generate in Stigg from metered usage and contract terms, then sync instantly to Airwallex for collection.
Zero-Duct-Tape Integration: Setup is complete in seconds via the Stigg app UI. No custom code or ongoing maintenance required from engineering.
How the Out-of-the-Box Flow Works
The integration seamlessly links customer activity across three distinct phases:
Instant Entitlement Provisioning: Whether a user checks out self-serve or signs an enterprise contract, Stigg translates the deal line items into real-time feature entitlements and credit allowances. Feature gating happens in milliseconds before API requests execute.
Payment Method Synchronization: Payment methods on file within Airwallex are linked directly to customer records in Stigg. Upgrades, top-ups, mid-cycle additions, and renewals automatically charge the stored payment method without requiring users to re-enter credentials.
Automated Invoicing & Global Collection: Stigg calculates invoice line items based on base charges and real-time metered usage, then syncs the invoice to Airwallex. Airwallex handles payment links, localized collection across currencies, dunning, and downstream financial reconciliation.
