Introducing HTTP 402: Where Monetization Infrastructure is Shaped

HTTP 402 is a new, curated community for engineering and product leaders building the future of monetization infrastructure: pricing, billing, usage metering, entitlements, and beyond. If you’re shaping how SaaS gets paid, this is where your peers are.

Introducing HTTP 402: Where Monetization Infrastructure is Shaped

We are excited to announce the launch of HTTP 402, a private Slack community for engineering and product leaders who are building, implementing, and scaling monetization. We’re talking pricing experiments, usage metering, entitlements, billing infrastructure, growth mechanics, scaling up, and everything in between. If you’ve ever broken production with a price change, tried to wrangle Stripe into your backend, or debated whether to charge for seats or features and then implemented it, welcome home.

What is HTTP 402?

HTTP 402 is a trusted network for professionals focused on monetization. Our goal is to create a space for experts to share tactical and actionable knowledge, solve complex challenges, and build high-trust relationships. We believe in quality over quantity, and we are building a community of vetted leaders in the monetization space.

Why Join the HTTP 402 Community?

  • Exclusivity: We are focused on growing the community with members who are experts in their field. This ensures that the conversations and connections are high-quality and valuable.
  • Actionable Insights: Discussions, round tables, and events will be focused on tactical knowledge that you can directly apply to your work. We will also share insights from the group in a digestible newsletter to keep you up-to-date.
  • Amplifying Signals: We have a deliberate roadmap of events and community engagement to foster collaboration and the organic exchange of ideas.

What to Expect

We are starting with a foundational set of activities to foster connection and build a habit of participation:

  • Regular Discussions: Engaging conversations on trending topics in the monetization space.
  • Virtual Roundtables: Broad topic discussions where any community member can participate.
  • In-Person Meetups: Opportunities to connect with other members at monetization events and other relevant conferences.
  • Peer-Reviewed Program: A space to get feedback and insights on content you are working on.
  • Recognition: We will be recognizing our founding members and biggest contributors with special badges.
  • AMA Sessions: Ask Me Anything events with leaders who have built and scaled monetization infrastructure.
  • Office Hours & Morning Coffees: Casual Zoom sessions to connect, swap notes, and problem-solve together.
  • Swag & Merch: Because every great community deserves its own gear.
  • Job Postings: Exclusive opportunities to join and grow in monetization-focused teams.
  • Community Promotions: A “shameless plug” space to share what you are building, writing, or launching, including posting openings and referrals.
  • Off-Topic Channels: Conversations on money, the economy, AI, and broader trends, because the best ideas often come from unexpected places.

And this is just the beginning. We look forward to finding more ways to engage and build a thriving community both online and in person.
